Building Transformed And Developed Communities Across Ghana For a Better Living.
Alliance for Society Transformation and Development (AfSTaD) is a nonprofit NGO made up of professionals including educationists, health practitioners, engineers, legal experts, religious leaders, and environmental specialists, all committed to one goal: making every community in Ghana a better place to live.
AfSTaD was established to contribute to the transformation and development of societies across Ghana. We believe Ghanas natural wealth, including gold, cocoa, oil, and forests, should translate into better lives for all citizens. Unfortunately, uneven resource distribution and lack of opportunities have left many communities without quality education, medical care, or employment.
Despite Ghanas riches, many citizens face economic hardship. Poor leadership, broken promises, and looting of national resources have deepened inequality. AfSTaD exists to bridge this gap, starting with our children and youth, whom we must raise to become faithful, noble leaders.
Activities and Reports
A community clean-up exercise was organized on Saturday, June 8, 2025, at the Kwesimintsim lorry park. The event saw the participation of over 75 volunteers, including members of Freeman Methodist Church, local youth, and community residents. A total of 400 kilograms of waste was removed, with 85 percent being recyclable materials. The impact of the exercise included significantly improved hygiene in the area, heightened community pride, and increased awareness about proper waste management among residents.
